Yoga Nidra ("we", "our", or "the app") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our app.
Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect:
- Email address
- Display name
- Profile photo
You can sign in using Google Sign-In, Apple Sign-In, or email/password. Authentication is handled by Firebase Authentication.
Practice Data
We store the following data in Firebase Firestore to provide app functionality:
- Practice session history
- Intentions (sankalpas)
- Course progress
Analytics and Crash Reports
- Firebase Analytics — collects anonymous usage data to help us understand how the app is used and improve the experience.
- Firebase Crashlytics — collects crash reports and diagnostic data to help us identify and fix issues.
Push Notifications
If you enable push notifications, we store a device token via Firebase Cloud Messaging to deliver notifications to your device.
Health Data
With your permission, the app writes mindful minutes to your device's health platform (Apple HealthKit on iOS, Google Health Connect on Android). We only write data — we do not read your health data. Health data is never stored on our servers or shared with third parties.
Subscription Information
Subscriptions are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, depending on your platform. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status. We do not have access to your payment information — all billing is handled by Apple or Google.
How We Use Your Information

- To analyze app usage and improve the experience
- To diagnose and fix crashes and bugs

Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase infrastructure. We implement appropriate security measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Firebase (Google) — authentication, data storage, analytics, crash reporting, and push notifications
- RevenueCat — subscription management
- Apple HealthKit / Google Health Connect — writing mindful minutes (with your permission)
Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data.
Data Deletion
You can delete your account and all associated data directly from within the app. Once deleted, your data is permanently removed from our servers and cannot be recovered.
Children's Privacy
Our app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected data from a child under 13, please contact us so we can delete it.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
